The Orange Craze Continues
Burnt orange used to be just for the autumn and winter months but this year the trend has expanded. More and more people seem to be wearing this colour in spring and summer too! If you have been reading my blog for a while you know that I am a big fan of orange coloured garments. Back in January I wrote The Orange Dress which was a big hit on my blog.
I don’t really know what it is about orange clothes that makes me gravitate towards them much more than other clothes. A lot of my wardrobe is orange. I feel like it goes really well with my blonde hair and blue eyes!
Orange is by no means a hard to find colour with most high street shops stocking a wide array of orange coloured garments for your perusal. As with many clothing items you can spend a fortune or spend very little and with orange there is such a selection.
With this outfit I decided to pair it with a bit of blue to add a little something extra. Navy blue goes really nicely with orange. The outfit I made consists of an orange blouse from New Look. It has quite a high collar and was marketed as a pie crust collar which made me giggle! It is a sheer chiffon kind of fabric which means it is easy to dress up or dress down. I wore this exact outfit to my friends 18th and just added a few pieces of gold jewelry. As for the skirt, it is a gorgeous suede fabric which goes nicely with the chiffon blouse. The gold buttons down the skirt tie the whole outfit together. I also wore my Olivia Burton watch with this outfit and the gold face matched well!
