Story of The Skirt

Is it just me who hates wearing trousers or jeans all the time? There are people who wear jeans day in day out but I really couldn’t do it. I need a bit of variety in my fashion life. This is exactly what a skirt brings me. I’m always on the hunt for a good skirt to wear to college and this one is swiftly becoming a favourite.

I picked this up during the Black Friday sale online at Pull and Bear. It cost just £7.99 which I would say is money well spent. I have been wearing this skirt every since and have loved it. People always comment on it and ask where it was from! It seems like good quality for the price you pay for it. As it has this tartan looking print it looks somewhat premium and more high end. This probably explains people’s confusion when I tell them it’s from Pull and Bear! Online the skirt looked more structured but it is actually more of a body con skirt. It is stretchy and comfy and hugs my body nice and tightly.

The skirt does run a little small and if you were quite tall might not work. I’m just 5ft3 and my dad complains it is too short at the back. If you are my dream height of anything above a solid 5ft6 I would recommend going up a size if you can. Pull and Bear may also have a tall section but I’m not certain and know I won’t ever need it!

I like the style the skirt with either a pink roll neck or a black roll neck. In the photos I was wearing a black thin jumper from Gap and a pair of thick black tights. Keeping the rest of the outfit pretty simple lets the skirt me the main piece of the outfit. I wore my big German winter boots more out of necessity than fashion as where I was shooting it was snowing. Clearly this outfit isn’t exactly snow appropriate but it added a little something to the pictures. Living by the sea I’m not always prepared for the possibility of snow!!

Overall I really like this skirt and is such great value for money! I hope you enjoyed the post and let me know if there is anything else you would like to see from me!
